Alaknanda institute boosts the musical arena of a students under the guidence of the masteros of their own respestive fields. All the gurus in the faculty of the Institute are Performing Artists and have their own aura in the music world. The have taken the responsibilty to train young generations in their respective subjects so that the rich indian cultural heritage is well secured, preseved and performed.
GAUTAM DASGUTA- THE MUSIC MAESTRO (guitar/ keyboard)
A music career which dates back from 1976,
Gautam Dasgupta has been a guiding torch for many established singers in the music industry. Being a Music Director, he has worked with some of the giants of the music industry like Hemant Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam, Anoop Jalota, Yesuda, Sadhna Sargam, Kavita Krishnamoorthy, Udit Narayan, Babul Supriyo, Babla Mehta, Nitin Mukesh, Abhijeet, to name a few. Today T-Series has released an album on devotional songs, sung by Gautam Dasgupta himself. The album –‘Jai Jai Ram Siya Ram, Jai Jai Shyam Radhey Shyam’, consists of eight songs based on different themes. The music of the album has been scored by Gautam Dasgupta himself and the lyrics has been written by Sh. Amaresh Shukla. Gaumtam da has introduced himself as ‘Madhur Gautam’, to create a new identity as a singer in the music industry.
Magical Music is there in his hands as he plays his guitar. He has more than 50 LPs and 200 audio cassettes to his credit, all successful hits released by the late Shri.Gulshan Kumar, T-series.
He is also associated with Doordarshan’s Central Production Centre, he has given music to many serials, tele-films and classical ballets. He has also given music for some pop albums. His music takes a spiritual mood with albums like ‘Bhagwat Gita’ and ‘Durga Saptashati’ . With 200 albums to his credit, he is working on a few more to be released soon. Equipped with his own Digital recording studio, ‘Soundwaves’ in Noida, he relates it to be a worshipping place for music.
He acknowledges that his knowledge in classical music has given a boost to his singing profession. Whoever has heard the first line of the album as addressed him as, ‘the man with a firebricken voice’ . We hope he continues to release more of such creative work and record his firebricken voice, for us to hear.

Aparajita-Voice of AIPA
She has learnt Hindustani Vocal music under eminent Guru Pt. Deepak Chatterjee, for last 11 yrs. Being a performing artist she has been a vocalist for Danseuse Alaknanda at 'Yuva Mahotsava' - Dilli Haat, Delhi, 1996, Maldives- a 3 day performance on the occasion of celebrating 50 years of India's Independence, sponsored by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (lCCR), 1997, National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai, 1998, 'Kathak Festival' at India Habitat Centre, Delhi, 1999. Also a solo recital in February 1999 at Matri Kala Mandir, Delhi. Her mesmeging voice captured the hearts of European in (Czeh Republic and POLLAND from the 17th June to 12th July 2003.
She has also taken up Violin as her first instrument making Sir Jogan Khan her first guru in this art form. Giving herself a challenge, she opted to learn this instrument in Western Classical style through Trinity College of Music, London (affiliated branch in Delhi). Under the able guidance of Sir Jogen Khan, the first 'Y' Orchestral group of YMCA was formed in 2001 with Aparajita being the leading violinist. She performed solo and also with the 'Y' Orchestra in Heinz Auditorium on 2nd February 2002, 5 performances in Shimla - Tara Hall - Sacred Heart Auckland House, St. Edwards, The Christ Church and Mashobra YMCA. from 23rd May - 26th May 2002.

Shrimati Surita Sarkar, a well versed artist in the field of Art & Craft has been working since 12 years. She has graduated in 'ART' from 'SARADA UKIL SCHOOL OF ART'. She also has good experience in presentation & Art appreciation Course from National Museum. Apart from being a trained Artist & presenter she has also guided a lot of students in this field at workshop for children in 'Little kids' Gujrawalan Town Delhi, Bal Bhawan Collage and has also shared her experience with young budding talents in 'Daulat Ram' A.D.A.V training colleges in Gole market & Darya Ganj. She has been an active anchor & lecture demonstrator in Art & Craft Television National network Doordarshan.
